Alan Moyes

I make small paintings of personal and whimsical objects; mostly on mounted plywood. The objects I paint all seem to speak to me somehow. They all seem to form some kind of connection. Some of the objects we own, some are from museum collections: all are special.
I grew up in New Zealand, went to art school in Texas (UT Austin) and live in Boston. We travel a lot. All these experiences seem to inform my art making and bring me to where I am today.
