My mixed-media paintings reflect my close attention to the seasonal trajectory of nature’s life cycles: its budding, blooming, fruiting, seeding, dying. Staying true to my abstract sensory impressions of individual plants, shifting light, variegated colors, ceaseless movement, regular yet imperfect shapes–often without an explicit focal point. Art and nature both offer ongoing opportunities for discovery. They can heal, teach, and include. I want my work to inspire viewers to care for themselves and their own biomes.
