June Krinsky-Rudder

Most of my subject matter is inspired by water, nature, and what I see as ‘universal structures’ - evident in both microorganisms and the overall composition of the planet. My love of play is evident in my work, as is my joy in exploring a range of materials. Much of my art involves bright colors and asymmetrical compositions, though I occasionally enjoy working in black, white, and gray. Most of my pieces begin with a composition and evolve – seemingly of their own volition. Each requires its own approach as different materials have their own expressive qualities.
