Nick Costopoulos
Nicholas Costopoulos is a self-taught fine art photographer based in Massachusetts. A Boston native, he spent a decade living in and photographing the outer Cape Cod towns of Truro and Provincetown. During his time on Cape Cod, he attended workshops and refined his ability to capture the ever-changing landscapes of the seashore.
Now working out of his East Boston studio, Nicholas continues to explore diverse photographic interests, including alternative process printing, portraiture, and figure studies. He is also developing a long-term project, Coming Home, Again and Again, which delves into his identity as a second-generation Greek American. The project addresses themes of familial, cultural, and religious identity, intergenerational trauma, and spiritual exploration. Caregiver marks the beginning of this body of work and serves as his thesis. Nicholas holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University’s College of Art and Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
