For this installation, overconsumption and how to manage waste is the focus. Overwhelmed by how much waste humans produce, both artists have been collecting and using waste products in their art. Audrina wants the companies who create this waste to be held responsible for its disposal via a post consumer mail-in campaign. Kristen has been upcycling the waste to create new sculptures and deter it from landing in a landfill. They both strive to make companies and people think differently about managing the endpoint of products because we can’t keep going the way we are without dire consequences.
