Joan Ryan

Joan Ryan is a Boston based artist exhibiting nationally and internationally. Awards include The Puffin Foundation, George Sugarman Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts.  In 2011 she was awarded the Lillian Orlowsky and Willian Freed Grant from the Provincetown Art Association and Museum.  She was Artist in Residence at DADA Post, Berlin. 2017, winning first place in a national exhibition she was awarded a solo Exhibition at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury CT. 2022 her awards include Massachusetts Cultural Council award for Drawing, residencies at Mass MOCA, Santa Fe Museum of Contemporary Art, Byrdcilff, and Arts, Letters and Numbers.
